Advanced Open Water Diver

The PADI Advanced Course can be completed in either 2 or 3 days and is made up of 5 Adventure Dives. The course is modular, so you can build your dives towards certification. You must make the Deep and Navigation Dives, then you can choose 3 further Adventure Dives. With a huge range of fun and exciting Adventure dives to choose from, this course offers something for everyone and is a great way to extend the scope of your diving or combine diving with an existing skill or interest.

What you Learn:

What do you prefer to learn? In addition to the compulsory Deep and Underwater Navigation dives, you have a wide range of fun and exciting adventure dives as listed below. You’ll be provided with a manual, and tasked to read the chapter related to the specific dive you have chosen. Complete the Knowledge Review for that chapter which we’ll review them before your dive. There are no DVD’s, quizzes or exams to complete, and no classroom sessions. Choose your 3 adventure dives from the list below:

  • Drift Diving
  • Dry Suit
  • Enriched Air
  • Fish Identification
  • Night Dive
  • Peak Performance Buoyancy (recommended)
  • Search & Recovery (recommended)
  • Sidemount
  • Underwater Naturalist
  • Wreck Diving (recommended-popular choice)

What you Take:

  • PADI Material (Advance Open Water Manual)
  • PADI AOW Data Carrier Slate
  • PADI Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver Certification
  • Full equipment rental


  • Certifed at least as PADI Open Water Scuba Diver or equivalent of another training organisation
  • To get PADI Advanced Open Water certified to 30 metres you need to be 15 years of age or older. 12 – 14 year old divers may become Junior Advanced Open Water divers, certified to 21 metres maximum depth.*
  • Please read through the medical questionnaire carefully. If you have to answer any of the medical conditions with a “yes”, then you need to seek approval by a doctor prior to any in-water activities.

*  Should be above 14 in Turkey.
