About Me

Hello :) My full name is Leni Levent Kurtulus but you can call me Leni like everybody does. I was born in Netherlands, grown up in Turkey, lived in Romania & UK for a time and traveled many countries.

I felt in love with sea in my childhood and started to freediving. After I got my Bsc degree in Civil Engineering & Msc degree in Operations Research I discovered Scuba diving and it became my passion during my white collar years.

I took one year off from my career in 2008 after 15 years of working period and never returned back again because i became a PADI professional in that year. It was enough for me to being a Divemaster at the first years of my professional dive life. However i discovered the taste of teaching Scuba Diving when i got my Open Water Scuba Instructorship in 2013 and everything restarted once again.

In every step in my diving career, I was telling to myself this level was enough for me, But i couldn’t stop :) Ever-since, I’ve become EFR Instructor, Peak Performance Buoyancy Instroctor, Enriched Air Diver Instructor, Wreck Diver Instructor, Deep Diver Instructor, Underwater Digital Photography Instructor and Dry Suit Instructor respectively.

Finally I leveled up to PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) and still continue instructorship as freelance. Being freelance gives me a great advantage to focusing on my students one on one, improve their skills in each dive and keeping high standard course quality alive. Besides, it gives a great chance to make amazing dives with the divers from all around the world in very small groups.

About Kaş

Accessible only by boat in the fifties Kaş is now a relatively unspoiled touristic town on the southern side of Turkey's Mediterranean coast. The town, set in a stunning location at the foot of Taurus Mountains facing the Mediterranean. Across the water to the south lies the Greek island of Kastellorizo.

The town of Kas was built around the remains of ancient Antiphellos and is surrounded by lofty, rocky cliffs. Despite it’s becoming more popular over the last years, the town still preserves its’ charm due to being a little far away from two major airports. Thus, it gets fewer visitors than towns that are more quickly accessible.

Ruins of the ancient town of Antiphellos mix with modern buildings in Kaş. The tomb in Uzunçarşı, remains of the ancient city walls in the antique acropolis, the amphitheatre just next to downtown and the ruins of the ancient city Sedaba witnesses to it’s 4.000 years old Lycian past. With its amazing 4th century BC sculpted carvings; the monumental tomb of the lion is an amazing ancient touch in the city. Also found in and around the town, there are many Lycian rock tombs.

Throughout its history it survived as a small but important port. There are many historical places such as Xanthos, Letoon, Patara, Tlos, Arycanda, Pinara, Theimussa, Myra, The Church of St Nicholas within a short drive and you can also enjoy a cruise of the Sunken City at Simena.

What to do

Spending time in waterfront coffee houses and restaurants, relaxing at small and pebby beaches, visiting magnificient sandy beach of Patara or walking up the mountain to the cliff tombs is enough for unforgettable moments. Kas is a place where you can experience all at once; the amazing wonders of forest, sea, history and art.

It is a place where you will be able to satisfy your desire just by discovering several unspoiled areas. Besides Scuba diving Kas is also a perfect place for outdoor activities, sea kayaking, hiking, paragliding and mountain biking etc.

At the south coast of Turkey, the climatic circumstances are dominated by dry & hot summers & mild winters. The diving season in Kas goes generally from April untill November. Wind and rain appear only sometimes at the very beginning and very end of season.

In summertime, the sea surface is calm, which makes going by boat to divespots an easy thing.
